End of 2016: 292 students, graduations and a bigger building
Coral Springs ended 2016 with 292 students from pre-K to 9th grade, over 100 more than the year before, and moved into a bigger building.
The 2016 school year ended with 292 students from pre-K to 9th grade at Coral Springs, over 100 more than in 2015. Nearly 20 of them studied with a scholarship based on their family’s need.
The last weeks were busy: science fairs, spelling bees, exams and a last-day party with a bouncy castle and pizza. The year closed with the preschool and 9th grade graduations.
To welcome the more than 400 students expected in 2017, the school moved into a bigger building. Several foreign teachers also said goodbye at the end of their volunteer service. One of them, Shona McCormick, said that scholarships allow students from low-income families to learn English and reach their full potential.
