Full English immersion
Our volunteers speak only English with the children, in and out of the classroom: in class, at recess and in every activity. That’s how the language becomes part of their everyday life. That’s why we look for native or fluent English speakers, wherever they come from.
What you’ll do
- Lead fun English lessons with songs, games and conversation.
- Teach subjects in English alongside Honduran teachers.
- Support homework, reading and after-school activities.
- Share your culture through art, sports and small projects.
- Be a positive role model the children can count on.
Who we’re looking for
- Native or fluent English: you’ll speak only English with the children.
- From any country: the United States, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, Europe, Japan and beyond.
- A 4-year college degree (minimum).
- Passionate, motivated and open-minded people.
- A clean criminal background check.
You’ll teach in English: no Spanish needed.

Getting to Honduras is easy
Citizens of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the European Union, Japan and many other countries enter Honduras without a visa for up to 90 days. To stay for the whole school year, we guide you through your residence permit paperwork.

No. You will teach in English. We recommend a desire to learn Spanish: it will make your year in Honduras even richer.
The commitment is one school year (10 months), which gives students stability. We also welcome teaching-assistant interns for 2 to 3 months.
We don’t charge a program fee. We provide free shared housing and a monthly food stipend. You cover your flight and international health insurance.
