Why go

Gracias, in the department of Lempira, is one of the best-preserved colonial towns in Honduras. Nearby is Celaque National Park, home to Cerro Las Minas, the highest point in the country, surrounded by cloud forest.

Don’t miss

  • The colonial center and the San Cristóbal Fortress.
  • The hot springs nearby.
  • The climb up Cerro Las Minas, a two- or three-day challenge with a guide.
